Kaci + Matt
One of the joys about being a woman of 'a certain age' is that I have been doing what I love for a L-O-N-G time! Hence, my high school graduates move away, go to college, fall in love, get engaged and joyfully, they remember me! That is what happened with Kaci & Matt's beautiful Bozeman, Montana wedding. Kaci was one of my favorite seniors I photographed in Juneau, Alaska. I loved her from the get-go when she showed up to her senior portraits in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and because she actually did a 'trashing your prom dress' photo shoot with me in a glacial lake! I knew right then... this girl was something special!
Kaci & Matt's Wedding Day
When Kaci's mom contacted me, now that I am moved to Colorado and asked if I would ever consider traveling for Kaci's wedding in Montana- I just about burst. "Of course, I will!" couldn't come out fast enough! So- for the 4th weekend in a 2 months- I was airplane commuting to somewhere amazing to photograph two truly beautiful, giving, serving human beings that are just so damn cute you can't believe it!
The wedding and reception were beautifully hosted by The Hart Ranch- near Bozeman in Gallatin Gateway. Their gorgeous event barn was perfect for the reception and holy cow, the views from the ceremony were breathtaking. Every bit of Kaci & Matt's personality made this wedding so fun; shotgun shells were used in the boutonnieres, the centerpieces, and even on the wedding cake! My groom rocked his black cowboy hat and leather vest and my bride was simply stunning in her lace gown from Eskay Bridal and of course, her cowboy boots. They even had a smores station by the a fireplace!
As always, I still pinch myself when I get to photograph these amazing events. I am a woman truly living her dream.
Congratulations, Kaci & Matt! I hope you never stop dancing and that you never waste a single sunset.
