The Big Why...
Ask yourself this: why do you feel it's important to hire a professional wedding or elopement photographer? Why are you commissioning professional portraits of yourself? Why is this season so special you want to have it documented? What’s the story that you want to tell? What feelings will you have on that day that you will want to remember for the rest of your life?
Because it matters.
You matter. Your life matters. Your story matters and it's worth documenting and holding onto. Not only does it matter to you but it will matter to the generations that follow you. You will be the solid foundation upon which your children and grandchildren can build.
Life As Art...
My photography style is a mix of 'editorial' and 'lifestyle' photography. In a nutshell, 'Editorial Photography' means that I am naturally looking at the world and at the composition of the photos I capture as if I were seeing it on the cover of a magazine. I want it to be a little larger than life. I value soft light, composition, color, and depth. The 'Lifestyle Photography' values authenticity, real life emotion, and the 'life-as-art' in my work. It is important that my style meets your eye and makes you feel something.
Do you feel it?
In an age of digital everything and instant access, the poignant moments can easily get posted on a social platform and easily get lost on a hard drive or worse, purged by an error with technology. Placing a priority on fine-art wall prints, handmade heirloom albums, and legacy print boxes alongside truly professional photography allows you to take those moments back and make them important again. 'The times they are a changin' so I value how photography can stop time for the moments that mean the most.
I'm committed to getting tangible, high quality printed photos in your hands through custom designed albums and stunning wall art.
Creating A Smaller Footprint
I will be sending digital communications and materials via e-mail and online magazines rather than printed magazines, whenever possible. I feel that every little thing I can do to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in a landfill is important. Which brings us to another topic, and that is how I source the products that I offer. I do not outsource any of the services that are required to create your final images and I only offer products that are made by hand of the highest archival quality.
