I used to photograph anything and everything but now I focus exclusively on portraits that empower women.

I specialize in intimate portraiture for women & couples (think sexy, passionate, playful, and a little bit wild and you will be getting close to what these portrait sessions are like). Personal empowerment sessions are sessions that I offer to help women recover a knowledge of just how flipping amazing they really are. Whether they find that vibe in their birthday suits or in a powersuit makes no difference to me. The whole session is in pursuit of the celebration and love of self. That takes many forms so let your imagination run wild and I'll take it from there!

My clients don't just want to walk away with digital files to share on social media (although they love that, too). They want to walk into their home and see their portraits as art on their walls. They want a tasteful, custom designed album to look back on over the years. They want to give their portraits as gifts to the people they love. This is why you will see that my sessions all include both digital files AND some tangible work of art or heirloom.

Step 1- You reach out to me on the contact page below and I do a little happy dance as I send over a digital brochure to give you a few package options so you can get exactly what you are looking for from our time together.

Step 2- You choose the perfect package and I send over your portrait agreement and invoice.

Step 3- I send over a welcome email with a link to schedule short phone call to pick a date and time for your session, your pre-session planning appointment, and we will discuss your ideas, what you'll wear and where we'll photograph your session!

Step 4- A couple weeks before your session, we'll meet in-person or via Zoom to discuss the final details of your session.

Step 5- You get all dolled-up, we go have an amazing time together, & I take incredible photos of you!

Step 6- 3-4 weeks after your session, your session gallery will be sent to you and you will choose how you want to incorporate the beautiful art we have created into your life with our handmade albums and stunning wall-art and gift options. 

Step 7- The order you placed through my online store has arrived at your door! Time to revel in your own awesomeness!

Quality- Luxury portraiture is always about quality, not quantity. I work with the highest quality professional cameras, lenses, equipment and software to provide the highest quality images possible.  I am a professional with over 15 years in the industry and boast over 1000 portrait sessions during that time. I have been voted 'The Best Photographer' in Alaska's capital and been featured on several blogs, magazines and websites. The fine-art prints, wall art and albums I offer are hand made right here in the USA by true professionals that stand behind their work.  I am professionally licensed and insured, which is important.

Persona- Maybe you wouldn't consider this when choosing your photographer, but who they are is important. Do the images you see in her portfolio show real people reveling in their moment?  If so, that is the work of a photographer putting them at ease; helping them feel comfortable with in front of the camera. Let's be real- that isn't a natural feeling! I nearly panic when I am the one in front of the camera! Without a warm spirit on the other side of the lens, you get images that feel 'pinched' and forced. When you meet your photographer you should feel safe and relaxed; like she can handle the vision you have for your day. I have heard from my clients that I made them feel at-ease and fully present in their experience.  That is huge!  I may not be everyone's cup of tea but if I am yours- trust your gut!

I strive to make your photography process easy. I am in your corner and I want you to feel that from start to finish. 

Honesty- Pinterest has bred an entire culture of 'stylized portraits' created to inspire others. The images are perfectly curated, the models pre-selected, and there are no real-life moments to interfere with flawless photographs. The work you see on my website is from REAL people, living real lives and telling real stories. I rarely have time to focus on stylized portrait sessions (model sessions to pad my portfolio). l work with real-live, paying clients. It's a photographer's version of 'street cred'. 

Personal Touch- In order for many photographers to keep up with their crazy schedules, some outsource various parts of their workflow to others, outside of their studio.  When you hire me to photograph portraits; you are getting all of me.  Every session requires 8-12 hours of post processing & meetings to create the final product that you will call your own.  I personally select every image used, I adjust any details that will make the image a better one and edit them to fit the style and emotion you hired me to provide.  Every album is designed from scratch for each client.  And when your final wall art and albums arrive, they will be delivered right to your door.
